Fred, this is mostly an experiment. Since you two share a journal I'm wondering if you can both see this? or just Fred?

I'm the only one who can see the message itself, although George (and Lee, and presumably everyone on the lock) can see the heading.

(You do realise, however, that I immediately read the message out loud to George. George can't write a reply on this post, however. We tried that, too.)

Of course you did! Pansy thought even if you couldn't both see it, you'd read the message to the other so it would work out either way.

Anyway the reason I wrote this is because I need help with a hex.

Is there a hex that would make a boy's hands go completely to rubber any time he tried to wank? Because that would be perfect. But anything really awful would work. I want it to be really humiliating. I don't know anything awful enough, I mean not that I could cast and have the person not know immediately that I'd hexed them. I mean if he does anything again I might

I'm NOT going to cast it on ANYONE on the lock, that's not why I sent you a private message. It's a boy in my house I want to hex. (Not Draco or Blaise, he's not in my year.) I haven't decided for sure I want to do it, mostly I just want to think about what I COULD do, I guess. How long do you want it to last?

It occurs to us, that if you felt confident enough, and frankly, were handy enough (sorry, couldn't resist the joke) you could cast it, and when he discovers it, inform him that it's something that's gonna stay that way until you remove it. And you're not gonna do that until he REALLY grovels in apology. We'd only advise that if you're willing to risk whatever he might do in retaliation. And frankly, come to think of it, the level of magic needed for that would be rather beyond your level. Not quite N.E.W.T. level charms, but close.

So maybe something simpler would be better. Something you could cast surreptitiously, and he wouldn't discover the effects until he's alone in his own bed with the silencing spell up and the curtains closed.

And it would wear off in, say, three days to a week, during which time you could drop little hints. Subtle-like. I'm sure you get the idea; you Syltherins do subtle better than we do, maybe. Sound good?

(And trust us, for a teenage boy, three days to a week under that type of spell would seem like a lifetime.)

Three days to a week would be fine. I don't expect something like that to last forever.

I would prefer not to confront him directly by making him grovel -- I mean, he's in Dark Arts and he's two years ahead of me. He'll KNOW who and why, anyway, but I'd rather he didn't realise until later that I've hexed him. Especially late at night, after curfew, because he won't be able to do a thing about it until the next day, even go to Madam Pomfrey (and even if he goes straight to her for a cure it'll be utterly humiliating. Who wants to admit to the matron that they wank? Even though it's not as if she doesn't KNOW.)
