I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
Jul. 28th, 2010 09:48 pmHermione, I don't know if they told you but if not it seems like something you should know -- there's to be a surprise party for Harry on Saturday. I got the invitation this morning by owl. I thought I'd better let you know. They're having people come at 3 p.m. but I think the party doesn't start properly right away, maybe they're going to have everyone go off to some part of the palace and lead Harry in? Anyway I was a bit surprised to get the invitation, since it wasn't Harry sending them out, but probably they invited everyone in Slytherin House.
It's up to you whether to tell Harry. You could tell him you overheard someone talking, if you think he ought to know.
(And Pansy you should have SEEN how Mrs Stretton went on. She's been all cross about how I was gone for a week -- apparently not only do I keep Gemma busy, I keep Jeremy from sulking, and having me gone is just a TERRIBLE BURDEN even though they didn't want me at all last summer. But then the invitation came from Buckingham and she went into a tizzy about what I should wear. She's never cared before what I wear so long as I'm clothed, but anytime Harry pays attention to me she starts worrying that someone important might think she doesn't treat me well. We're going to Diagon Alley to shop for a proper present for Harry -- apparently she doesn't think jam will do in this particular situation -- and she might buy me some clothes as well. Although my dress robes are still perfect, she actually noticed my stockings are full of holes and all my shirts are too short in the sleeves now.)
