...was brilliant. I got to play every position except Seeker at some point or another although they didn't make me keep playing Beater after I broke one of the windows.

It was nice to see Wood again, and Jeremy behaved himself (mostly).

Jeremy asked his parents and they said it's alright, so: the rest of you are invited here next week to play quidditch, if you'd like to come. On Monday, I think that's when Mrs Stretton thought it would be best. Owl me or tell me here if you can or can't make it, and if anyone else wants to come play you'd be welcome.

Thanks for the invitation, and ordinarily I'd be very pleased to come, but I won't be able to accept. I'm going camping next week! My Great Uncle Algie is taking my sister and me out for a week of it. I'm sure the experience we got last summer will be help loads. At least I can teach Evelyn how to lay out a camp fire now.

Well, together, Evelyn and I probably outweigh him now! Maybe we can get back at HIM by chucking him in the river when he takes us fishing.

Although if we did, he'd probably stick us with all of the camp chores for the rest of the week.

See, that's why you're a Slytherin and I'm a Gryffindor. I would have never thought of that.

Shame about Stretton. He was actually pretty good.

And, y'know, he's the one who had the best suggestion about getting the Silver Arrow going again. It really worked! So I guess Stretton's a bit of all right, even though he can be dead annoying some times, can't he?

And, yeah, I'm definitely coming. That'll be wizard! I'll find out about the twins and Ginny.

I'm not sure if the invitation includes me? I know I wasn't much help as a Beater.

Thank you. That's very kind of Mrs Stretton. Although I'll have to ask Mrs Brown for permission.

Fingers crossed mum says yes. I'm going to ask her at breakfast, because she's always in a better temper after her morning tea and newspaper, and with luck, she'll forget I'm supposed to have French for an hour in the afternoon on Monday.

I can always reschedule with Mlle Haupert later.

Longbottom's coming too, right? I need someone to keep me company safe on the ground, after all.

I made an absolutely miserable Keeper. I mean, I believe the tree next to the pitch was better at catching Quaffles than I was, and it was just standing there.

But I do make a fantastic spectator. I'll come up with cheers and everything. They may even rhyme.

Go Sally-Anne! Fast as you can! Take that Quaffle and chuck it in the can!

There she swoops! Flying loop-de-loops! Throw that ball right through those hoops!

I thought you were great.

When you were on the other side!

But seriously, how are you going to get better if you don't play? You have to fly. It's just for fun, anywiz.

That's really nice of Mrs Stretton. I'll definitely come.

And tell Jeremy I'll bring the Silver Arrow, too. His idea worked a treat, and I've almost got her going.

You can still come, right?

You are getting awfully good at saying sorry. I hold Sally-Anne and me entirely responsible for that.

And Crispin isn't all that bad. He had to come get me once when mum got really sick and I had to stay at St James, and he was really decent about it, and sat up with me half the night when I couldn't sleep because I was so worried. And he didn't have to, but he did anyways.

Yeah, you're right. I felt dead Slytherin writing that, but like I told Sally Anne, it would have been totally ridiculous to miss out on Quidditch at the Strettons over not saying sorry. I mean, Percy's a silly git with no sense of humour, but I'm not going to stay in trouble for a whole week and do extra chores and not get to go anywhere, when all I've got to do to get out is say sorry.

And, yeah. I'm pretty sure I can still come. Mum hasn't said no. Nor Dad. Course I haven't seen him yet today, 'cause Mum let me sleep in and he was already out in his workshop when I got up. They don't usually let us sleep in, but I think probably they thought it was a good idea if Percy and I didn't eat breakfast together. He's a total grump in the morning.

Mum says yes!

Well, she said yes after I wrote Mlle Haupert so she can give me a double lesson on Wednesday, so there's that.

Or, as the French would say, Cest la vie!
