Once he falls asleep he usually stays asleep. So nothing's going to happen other than you possibly getting very cold and uncomfortable sitting out in the yard.
Does he always get angry when he drinks? Or does it depend? I mean, the other day, I was there and he didn't like that, so I thought maybe that's what made him get cross and then with all the firewhiskey on top of that...
He drank a long time, too, and didn't get sleepy. Yesterday, I mean. I guess he can really hold it.
And he can drink a lot before he looks drunk, I think his body's sort of adapted to it.
When I was coming last summer, before I left school Professor Dolohov taught me a spell that could make him really sick if he drank to excess. I haven't used it because I think he'd guess I'd done something and then he'd be even angrier. Over the summer he wasn't drinking. He knows he shouldn't, it's just he always eventually starts again.
There was a potion, Madam Pomfrey and Mr Snape gave to the Headmistress, I think. There are Order posts where they mention it. The thing is I think the person has to drink that WILLINGLY. And I don't know if he would. And I don't know if I could get it for him, anyway.
What do you think your dad's going to do when you don't have to go stay with him anymore?
I mean. Do you think he could get a proper job now that your mother's gone? Has he tried? Do you think he'd stop drinking if he did? Because maybe we could try to find something for him. Maybe Mum could help, or Bill if he wanted to work at the Ministry, or some of the others.
No, I mean, I don't want him to know anything about the Order. At all. I don't want him to have any idea who might be in it and I don't want him to know I know people who might be able to do him favours.
