Thanks for writing this up, Sally-Anne. Ugh, it's horrible to learn about it, but I think this is really important stuff to know. And yeah, I'd like to get together to try to practise resisting it.
One question: you said that to resist it you have to concentrate on not doing what the caster is trying to get you to do. What if you don't know what he's trying to get you to do? Is that possible? I mean, the caster doesn't necessarily have to say it aloud, does he? Like 'go and murder this person.' Do you always know what it is you're being ordered to do before you do it, when you're under Imperius? If you know what I mean? Like, maybe if you were ordered to suddenly push someone off a high ledge, would your own actions take you by surprise, if you were under an Imperius? Or do you always know what you're being asked to do, consciously I mean?
Oh, I guess another question, too: you said there are primary and secondary emotions you have to tap when casting it. What about primary and secondary emotions needed to resist it?
