Mrs Stretton just gave us each some money to buy the books and things on our lists -- the required supplies from the Ministry this year said how much each thing cost, so she added up and that's how much she gave me.

Only, I looked around and found used copies of about half my books, so I had some left over. I was afraid Mrs Stretton wouldn't let me keep it so I spent it all right away, mostly on books, I found a good one on elementary transfiguration that might help me tutor Neville plus I got that book Finnigan has been going on about, except I bought the one that's for Slytherins.
