There's a diary I read from a wizard who lives in Lincoln. He's one of those people who writes about his lunch and the weather and pretty much tells you every time he scratches his arse so I thought he'd be a good way of keeping an eye on what's happening near Terry.

He says Lincoln Castle JUST REAPPEARED. Or possibly it happened during the night or very early this morning, I'm not sure because it turns out he's a lot better about giving useful details about his lunches. But the Fidelius must have broken. And given Amycus Carrow's post I think maybe Alecto Carrow is dead.

Terry, are you reading this? Are you alright?

Hermione, can your friends help Terry get away now that the castle's visible again? If Amycus doesn't take him somewhere, which he might have done ALREADY. Ron, can you tell Fred and George? Or maybe you SHOULDN'T tell them, I mean they'd probably go there straight away and I'm not sure they could take on Carrow, even together.

Is that what happens when the person in charge of the Fidelius spell dies?

I looked this up when they cast the spell. The Fidelius Charm is a little unpredictable. If it was cast by someone really brilliant, the secret transfers to the people who've been told the secret and they become the secret-keepers instead. If they haven't told anyone, or if the spell wasn't cast perfectly, it can be complicated. SOMETIMES the hidden place just re-appears but sometimes it reappears to some people and not others and sometimes it disappears for real, like it Vanishes, along with everyone in it, which is why the Twins didn't try to kill Alecto Carrow, I think. It was really risky.

Of course, she was going to go move into Lincoln Castle permanently, wasn't she?

They couldn't have done it, though, they took the train home yesterday with the rest of us.

Well she was plenty sick, wasn't she? Maybe she just died at a convenient time.

I Flooed over to the Burrow to tell the twins and Ron to look at their journals. But get this: I talked with Mrs Weasley, and she said their brother Charlie had arranged for Fred and George to visit the Dragon Preserve as a surprise, sort of a coming of age present. Their mum told them this morning, and they were so excited they packed and left immediately. I asked Mrs Weasley if they'd looked at their journals this morning, and she looked surprised and she said she was sure that they hadn't, because they were so busy pulling stuff together and getting ready to go.

I told her what's going on, and she was shocked. She said the twins didn't know before they left. Ron was still asleep, so he hadn't checked the journals, either.

I think Mrs Weasley's Flooing Charlie back to warn him to maybe nick the twins' journals until we know a little more. You're right. No sense in them going off in a tear after Carrow. Which I'm afraid they might do if they know about this.

I hope we get some good news quickly.

They're not complete eejits. I think they ought to know. If anyone CAN get to Terry -- yeah. They should know.

I think it'd be wise to wait to hear back from Hermione, first. If the wand smugglers are trying to help him, they might not appreciate Fred and George popping round to stick their wand in.

Especially if they're dodging Carrow.

Do you really trust them so little you think they'd be setting off fireworks and dung bombs and in general saying OH HALLO LINCOLN CASTLE HERE WE ARE WITH WANDS BLAZING?

They're Gryffindors, not complete arses.

You don't have to explain to ME that being Gryffindor doesn't have to mean you're a complete arse! But I'd like them ALL to come back in one piece, yeah? Because I'm sort of fond of them.

I don't think they're idiots, no. But the wand smugglers have no way of knowing that, do they? So I don't want to hack them off. What if they decide they're junior aurors or something and blast them away and ask questions later?? Not to mention a homicidal Carrow.

I say we wait until we hear more from Hermione.

Terry's more likely to hide, I think, I'm pretty sure. If he possibly can.

We're not deciding to send them.
We're deciding to TELL THEM. So that they can make up their own mind what to do with the information.

It's not as if this is even SECRET LOCK INFORMATION, everyone in Lincoln knows the castle reappeared.

I stuck my head in the Floo to talk with Mrs Weasley again.

She said she'll pass along the word to tell them to take a look at their journals. She agreed that, yeah, they'll want to be told.

Has anyone heard anything more? They've just finished with us for the day and I've taken supper in the Hufflepuff dormitories so I can catch up on the news.

Yes, Alecto Carrow's dead. I heard Eric Bundy saying to keep the 4th-years away from the corridor leading down to her office.

Hermione did say this morning that her friends were trying to find Terry. I only hope he's in a condition to be found.
