I was rather hoping they'd let us know right away whether we'd got in for the summer, or not.

I suddenly realised that we're all leaving tomorrow and it's two and a half months before we come back to school. It'll be nice to see Gemma again.

What did people do during the pain test? They said they'd stop it when you said you'd had enough and so I stopped it as soon as it hurt more than an itch. I'm in Slytherin. We're clever enough to AVOID pain. At least when it's optional! (Or maybe not everyone got that one? I heard a rumour not everyone got the same tests today.)

Yeah. I got the pain test. Put my hand in the box and just stared at them until they stopped making it worse. And they did stop it before it got to where I couldn't stand it. I mean, it was pretty bad, but I just thought about the fact that Thomas and Finnigan would have to do it, too, and I really wanted to be sure neither of them took it better than I did.

I heard some people didn't have to do the pain thing. Bundy said when they called her in all they did was ask her to say why they should take her and not Brown or Patil. She wouldn't tell me what she said, though.

Well, Lucius was steaming. I mean, really really angry. But it was more because he was concerned, I think, because he was the one who ordered the Dementors to come, and if he'd known we were all out there, he wouldn't have.

I honestly don't know.

If they found out about what Harry did with the hippogriff, letting it go, I mean, well, I didn't help with Buckbeak, not really, but I didn't stop it from happening or tell someone what they were doing. So I might get in trouble for that. I think he was angry enough so that I can expect some amount of trouble. But not nearly as much as Draco and Harry.

Draco is obviously very unhappy. He hasn't said hardly anything the entire train ride, and I think he and Harry are on the outs. Do you think it's because of the letter Harry got?

I don't know what they'll do about Hermione either. I mean, she went along, but she could claim that she was forced, and she did help me, I made that very clear whenever they asked us what happened.

That pain test was nothing at all.

I suppose that for some people it was worse, knowing that it would hurt. I'd rather know in advance that it's going to hurt. It's better to know what's coming so that I can prepare myself for how to deal with it.
