So what do YOU think we ought to do with the plate?
I guess I have to admit that part of me thinks the Order people are too nice to properly keep control over her? Given that Evelyn and Justin are going into moral conniptions over whether it's okay for us to just keep her in the plate forever!
Professor Dolohov WON'T LET HER OUT and WON'T LET HER GET AWAY.
I suppose that's probably true of Headmistress McGonagall, too. And maybe also Mr Snape. I'm less sure that's true of Professor Sprout or Professor Brutka! They're just too, too, I don't even know. MERCIFUL. That shouldn't be a bad thing but when it comes to Umbridge it KIND OF IS.

Date: 2013-05-15 03:24 pm (UTC)You can't afford to get asked those kinds of questions. None of us can, really.
And I don't want any of us keeping her, because if you're right and she could maybe break the charm, then that would be... not good. And if it turned out she could hear stuff we'd been saying, then... that'd be worse.
Basically, I think you're right about it.
So, yeah. I think we should give her to Dolohov. And it doesn't really matter what he does with her, whatever he does, he won't set her loose on us.

Just like I pretended I believed him when he said he'd keep the socks safe (actually, what he SAID was that he'd ensure they didn't end up anywhere they shouldn't be, and OBVIOUSLY he meant that where they ought to be was Dolores Umbridge's sock drawer.)

Maybe Headmistress McGonagall.
The thing is I want it to be someone who has the stomach to KILL HER if she gets out, you know? Someone who won't get squeamish. The Order does kill people sometimes (or they try at least) but they hate it so much I think they try a bit too hard to come up with alternatives. And they're completely mental about the killing curse.
I guess that's what it comes down to. I think Headmistress McGonagall would use the killing curse if she had to and I'm not so sure about Professor Sprout. Let along Mr or Mrs Longbottom.

For that matter we could give it to Professor Dolohov to give to her, I don't think he'd let her out of the plate to ask her questions if it was a PRESENT for SOMEONE ELSE. And I do think he'd consider it hers by right, don't you?
